Energy and Resources
- Hotel Erwin has partnered with Further bathroom amenities, a sustainably sourced, locally made, family-owned company, to replace single-use toiletries with larger pump-top dispensers. This process helps to keep trash out of landfills and is estimated to have a 30% reduction from previous amenity plastic usage.
- Hotel Erwin is fully retrofitted with energy-efficient LED Lighting. LED bulbs significantly reduce energy usage, have longer lifespans, reduced cooling cost, motion censored controls, and emit less UV radiation than traditional lighting options.
- Verdant Energy saving systems and sensory lighting are installed throughout all guest rooms to ensure sustainability efficiencies.
- Hotel Erwin offers Chargepoint Level 2 EV charging stations to help our guests to better support the reduction of greenhouse gasses. We adapt to Tesla and all universal applications.
- Hotel Erwin is a proud supporter of Recycle LA, separating food waste and trash. The decomposition of food waste (organic material) in landfills produces methane, a greenhouse gas that is 23 times more potent than carbon dioxide, and Hotel Erwin’s commitment to separate and sort materials drastically reduces the amount of waste output to our local centers.
Social Community Partnership and Involvement
- Hotel Erwin has partnered with Procure Impact. Procure Impact’s mission is to create meaningful employment opportunities for underestimated populations. By purchasing products from Procure Impact we (and our guests) support “2nd Chances” in the local community and commit ourselves to a vision of a better world.
- Hotel Erwin is a proud supporter of Venice Pride and advocates to promote the goals of human rights, outreach, education, and the equality of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning community. The hotel has partnered with West Of Lincoln and other support groups to create awareness.
- Hotel Erwin has partnered with the Coastal Commission in an effort to ensure the conservation of native plants and wildlife along the coast.
